By using the BioDrain Terrarium Draining Mesh, you can prevent contamination of the water by particles from the decorative substrate. This draining mesh is particularly useful for creating water features and a biological filtration system within the terrarium when combined with the Exo Terra BioDrain Terrarium Draining Substrate. The clean water in the terrarium can then be circulated through waterfalls, the Exo Terra Rain System, or Dripping Plants. To use the Exo Terra BioDrain Terrarium Draining Mesh, you should first wash the BioDrain Terrarium Draining Substrate thoroughly and spread it evenly in the terrarium. If you want to create a water area, remove the substrate in the desired location and cover the area entirely with the BioDrain Terrarium Draining Mesh. For the terrestrial (land) area, you can add a biological substrate like Plantation Soil. In the water part, you can add an aquatic substrate such as Turtle Pebbles or Riverbed Sand and add water. The BioDrain Terrarium Draining Mesh in the medium size (PT3133) is designed to fit the Natural Terrarium Medium models (PT2604, PT2610, PT2612 & PT2608).
