Description: I bought this EVH Striped Guitar in the throes of my Eddie Van Halen mania phase after he passed, and had it professionally customized by Judah Guitars in Memphis, who specialize in creating exacting Frankenstrat replicas. It's closer in detail than any I've seen anywhere, except for the $8,000 - $10,000 ones. To reiterate, this is an authentic EVH Striped guitar. The logo is sanded off the headstock (Eddie's parts guitar didn't have an EVH on it!) The Judah Guitars custom shop logo is branded into the back of the headstock, but I repeat, this is an authentic EVH neck. Also evidenced by the neck plate. Has the Floyd Rose locking system, D-Tuna drop D lever, quarter on the front, reflectors on the back and same wiring as the real Frankenstrat, which means the neck pick-up isn't wired to work. But you can make it active by connecting it. I wanted it authentic so I passed on that. Has the coolest custom case I own and all the case candy pictured. This thing plays and sounds great. I played it for one gig and then put it in a display case. But as a country player I've realized I'm not cut out to play many Eddie licks, plus I'm considering a way overpriced Gretsch. Thanks for looking. If I've overestimated the shipping, I'll refund you the difference. If I've underestimated, I'll eat it.
