Description: Eucalyptus pulchella (pulchella = beautiful... and that it is!) Native to Tasmania, Eucalyptus pulchella is a medium sized ornamental tree, to 60', with clusters of narrow strap-like green foliage, that's held in a weeping arrangement; giving a very pleasing effect. The trees have a very erect, narrow habit, with beautiful, smooth white bark that looks silver from a distance and shimmers in the sun. The narrow and wispy, dark green to bluish green foliage make a pleasant rustling sound in a breeze, and offers a delightful and striking, clean, intense peppermint fragrance when crushed. E. pulchella is cultivated extensively around Tasmania, New Zealand and Australia, where it can be seen as a street tree and in plantations for timber. Seldom grown outside of Australia. As this species has a lignotuber, it may be grown in large pots, and heavily pruned to keep it a manageablesize. Hardy zones 7 and above. Excellent for bees and birds, as well as for cut foliage! Very rare! One packet contains 1/8 teaspoon of seeds with chaff, as well as detailed sowing instructions. The seeds of this species are rather fine, and (with my old eyes) I no longer want to have to clean the seeds (remove all the seeds from among the chaff - which is very time consuming). There will be many seeds this way, and in 1/8 teaspoon, there should, at the least, be a couple dozen seeds among the chaff. You'll actually get more seeds this way, than if I had to clean them! The chaff is inert, and is absolutely fine added to the soil at planting time. Please note: The seeds are fresh and viable, and are ready for sowing. Success in their germination is up to you - and will be achieved by carefully following the detailed instructions included with your seeds.Sowing seeds requires cleanliness, practice and patience, and frequently have specific requirements and pretreatments. There is a learning curve. I say this because people generally blame the seeds or the seller for a failure in germination, when, in actuality, it is generally because of the one doing the sowing... With that said, I wish you the best of luck with the seeds, and if you have any questions with getting them started, please feel free to contact me. I've been growing and collecting rare and exotic plants for over 45 years and sowing seeds has been a specialty. Most of the trees and shrubs that are growing in my 4 acre garden have been started from seeds; there is something very satisfying about that. All photos are of plants in my own collection - unless stated otherwise. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - SORRY - I ONLY SHIP TO THE US. Upon arrival of the seeds/cutting/plant, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I want you to be happy with your purchase and to have the greatest success in its cultivation! Thank you for checking out my ebay offerings. Robert
