Description: Elgin 12s PW Case Screws NOS fits Elgin, possibly Illinois, Hamilton, Howard, and others. These case screws will not fit 16s movements but see other listings for 16s screws. For sale are four (4) new-old-stock (NOS) 12 size Elgin PW case screws. These screws are clean, unblemished, no-rust, with slightly domed polished silver full-round heads as shown. The head diameter is 2.32mm with a length of approx. 4.68mm between the screw head and the end of the shaft. Note that Elgin 16s and 12s screws are very similar, the difference being that the head diameter is significantly smaller in 12s screws. The shaft diameter is 1.04mm with120 tpi (threads-per-inch). The threads are crisp and clean. The correct tap to use with this screw is Elgin tap #15 (.0428in x 120 tpi). These screws have never been used and perfectly fit Elgin 12s movements (part #2630). Though not an exact match, they may also work in 12s movements from Illinois, Hamilton, Howard, Trenton, Waltham (most) and others. Please realize that old 12s movements may have been re-cased multiple times with non-original case screws resulting in stretched screw holes.
