Description: Thanks for having a look at my listing!I do have other guitars and amp cabinets up for sale so please have a look at my other listings!History:This beautiful cabinet was born (I think?) in the 1950's an Electro-Voice Aristocrat Speaker. It was finished in a yellowish color and was placed in the corners of your living room for the best sonic performance possible. Hence, the interesting six-sided exterior design! How I Received It:The finish on this speaker had dulled significantly to a rather faded, creamy yellow with a disturbing sort of orange with black accents plastic grill cloth. There was no speaker and even getting the cabinet open was a big challenge. Once I decided to begin removing what was left of the original finish, I knew it was going to be a very long haul. The wood veneer was very porous and "pot-holed" when built, meaning that the surface had several layers to it. It was extremely difficult to remove the finish without taking the entire veneer off and even in places where that happened, the stain had gone through the veneer and into the "wood" below it. In short, it was still ugly. But, I did try to stain it, to no avail. It looked bad. So, I was forced to consider painting it instead. This is where the Electric Blue sparkle paint came in to save the day!Modifications Made (in short):· Cabinet Exterior: As stated above, the original finish was so problematic that I had little choice but to paint it, but kept the label unpainted.. So, I went with the Electric Blue with many layers of polyurethane. I also chose a Fender Guitar Silver amp grill cloth, which turned out awesome! And added large, rubber feet to the bottom to avoid any mishaps with flooring. These can easily be removed if you like to have your bass notes run through the floor.· Cabinet Interior: To the inside speaker board I attached a Vintage, 12-inch Celestion G12K-100 speaker, 16 Ohm impedance and named her "Electra". The jack nearest the front of the cab goes straight to the speaker. The jack nearest the back is wired in parallel to the other jack so it can be used with a second cab!Dimensions: Cabinet: 31“ x 19” x 16”Holds: Speaker: Vintage, 12-inch Celestion G12K-100 speaker, 16 Ohm impedance, can provide other speaker or ship without speaker, customers choice Shipping: Quoted shipping price is via FedEx.
