ELECTRO-HARMONIX Pitch Fork Pitch Fork can transpose the pitch of an instrument in the range of +/- 3 octaves, and can play pitch up, down, or up/down simultaneously in three modes. The amount of pitch shift can be selected with the shift knob or controlled in real time with the expression pedal or CV controller.The controls are very self-explanatory and intuitive, with an 11-step shift switch that can be set to Detune, Minor 2nd, Major 2nd, Major 3rd, Perfect 4th, Perfect 5th, Major 6th, Minor 7th, 1 Octave, 2 Select the scale to be shifted from among 1 Octave, 2 Octaves, and 3 Octaves. The 3-position toggle switch sets whether the pitch is played up, down, or up/down simultaneously. In Dual mode, two pitch-shifted signals are output. In latch mode, the footswitch toggles between effect ON and bypass when the footswitch is depressed. The EXP input allows the connected equipment to change the amount of pitch shift from unity to the pitch set by the shift knob. In momentary mode, the effect is only on when the footswitch is depressed and bypassed when the footswitch is released. The glissando rate is the time it takes to reach the pitch of the setting set by the shift knob. When the footswitch is depressed, the pitch changes from bypass to the set pitch, and when the footswitch is released, the pitch returns to unity at the same rate. The glissando time varies between 4 msec and 2 sec depending on the heel-to-toe position of the expression pedal; the default glissando rate is 60 msec when nothing is connected to the EXP input.
