Description: For your consideration, is an early Rene’ Lalique inkwell. Originally released in 1912, & was style model #748. Please note: there is no lid. The top was missing. Functions nicely with a tea light atop. Measuring approximately 3.5”X2” tall, & weighing about 14 ounces. Item features 3 artistic flowing butterflies, with one wing of each, protruding up & out of the stylized vessel. With exception of missing lid, the piece is chip & crack free. Bottom has 2 line scores which might be factory marks. Double signed: 1) in the mold R. LALIQUE & 2) script hand signature, around edge.
