This book was supposed to be published by the Donning Company in the mid 1980s. It is a better book now, because I have taken the opportunity to rewrite a couple of the stories that needed it, but I am pleased that, with the Fabian art, this actually looks more or less what the Donning title would have looked like. Stories originally published in AMAZING, FANTASY TALES, FANTASY BOOK, and WEIRDBOOK. This is a fantasy of the remote future, though, I would say, much more overtly supernatural than THE DYING EARTH or THE BOOK OF THE NEW SUN. The universe is in disorder, after the death of the most recent divinity. It seems that gods are generated by natural forces, like storms, but they do not last forever. When the reigning god or goddess dies, as has happened here, all manner of strange and terrible miracles and wonders become possible. What my fans have been waiting for.... SIGNED.
