This is a unique disc with several popular songs from the 'Master Of Pop', Sir Elton John, who since the 1970's has consistently placed his songs into the Top 100 of the Pop Genre. Sixty Eight Times his songs have graced this chart and nine songs have made it to number one.This disc may take you back to the 70's when you bought 45's to listen to your music. This disc contains eight songs from that decade along with songs from the 80's and beyond, the twelve listed below.About The songs:'Harmony' was never released as a single here in the USA. It was on the 'flip side' of Bennie and The Jets in 1974. 'American Triangle' is another great song written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin from 2001. It is about and dedicated to Matthew Shepherd, a gay college student who was murdered in 1998.'Ballad Of Danny Bailey' is actually a story song about John Dillinger. It is a very difficult song to find on karaoke.'Bennie & The Jets' is from 1974 and was released as a single. It also became another number one song for Elton John.'Better Off Dead' is from 1977 and a very rare track to find on karaoke.'Blues For My Baby And Me' was never a single but is a great album track from 'Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player'. This track is also very difficult to find on karaoke.'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' is a great duet with Kik Dee from 1976. It was another number one hit on the Hot 100.'Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding' are album tracks from 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road', not released as singles. 'Grey Seal' is also an excellent track from Elton from 1970 but was re-released as an album cut for the 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' album in 1973. 'Heart Of Every Girl' is a song from 2002 that Elton recorded and had written with Bernie Taupin. The song was never released as a single and also is very hard to find on karaoke.'Ticking' is a story song from 1994 and was never released as a single. Ticking relates a story of a man who ends up killing 14 people because of depression from a repressed childhood. It is a very difficult song to find on karaoke. 'Part Time Love' is a song by Elton that peaked at number 22 in 1978. It is one of a handful of songs that did not include Bernie Taupin as co-writer.'Pinball Wizard' was actually written by Pete Townsend of The Who. The Elton John version was released in 1975 but was not released as a commercial single so it did not receive a position onto the Hot 100.'Teacher I Need You' is a great album cut from the 1973 album 'Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player'.
