Description: We’ve been selling karaoke since 1988. That’s a long time! When I wanted to put my business phone number in the Yellow Pages the “karaoke” category did not even exist. I had to list the business under “Musical Accompaniment”. I’ve seen a lot of changes in these three decades. The formats that we have used to listen to our music has gone from cassette tapes and Laser Discs to Compact Discs w/Graphics, MP3+G and digital downloads. The good news for those that still have a karaoke cd+g player is that we still have thousands of discs still available, many of them are rare and hard-to-find, such as this one. This is a unique disc with several popular songs from the 'Master Of Pop', Sir Elton John, who since the 1970's has consistently placed his songs into the Top 100 of the Pop Genre. Sixty Eight Times his songs have graced this chart and nine songs have made it to number one. This disc may take you back to the 70's when you bought 45's to listen to your music. This disc contains five songs from that decade along with songs from the 80's and beyond, the twelve listed below.About The songs:'Believe' charted at #13 here in the USA on the Hot 100 and was number one on the Adult Contemporary Chart in 1995.'Original Sin' is another great song written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin from 2002. It did not do as well as many of Elton's other songs and is very difficult to find on karaoke.'Philadelphia Freedom' is a fun song from 1975 and it's catchy melody lifted this song to the number one position.'Please' is from 1995 and was not released as a single. It is also a difficult Elton John Song to be found on karaoke.'Sacrifice' is from 1989 and made it to #18 in 1990.'Someone Saved My Life Tonight' made it to #4 on the Hot 100, despite it being 6 minutes and 45 seconds long, It is autobiographical in nature.'Recover Your Soul' is from 1998 and was released after 'Something About The Way You Look Tonight' and the song made it up to #24 on the Pop Charts.'Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting' is an excellent track from Elton from 1973. At that time nearly all of Elton's singles went into the top ten; this was the only one that did not make the top ten from the years 1973 to 1976.'Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word' is a song from 1976 that Elton recorded and had more than his usual contribution to the lyrical content with his writing partner Bernie Taupin. The song went to #6.'Ticking' is a story song from 1994 and was never released as a single. Ticking relates a story of a man who ends up killing 14 people because of depression from a repressed childhood. It is a very difficult song to find on karaoke. Finally 'Tiny Dancer' is a song by Elton that was not intended as a single due to it's 12 minute length. Later an edited version was released as a single in 1972. It reached #41 on the Top 100. Here are the songs: 1.Believe2. Original Sin3. Philadelphia Freedom4. Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me5. Recover Your Soul6. Sacrifice7. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting8.
