Description: We’ve been selling karaoke since 1988. That’s a long time! When I wanted to put my business phone number in the Yellow Pages the “karaoke” category did not even exist. I had to list the business under “Musical Accompaniment”. I’ve seen a lot of changes in these three decades. The formats that we have used to listen to our music has gone from cassette tapes and Laser Discs to Compact Discs w/Graphics, MP3+G and digital downloads. The good news for those that still have a karaoke cd+g player is that we still have thousands of discs still available, many of them are rare and hard-to-find, such as this one. This is a unique disc with several popular songs from the 'Master Of Pop', Sir Elton John, who since the 1970's has consistently placed his songs into the Top 100 of the Pop Genre. Sixty Eight Times his songs have graced this chart and nine songs have made it to number one. This disc will take you back to the decade of the 80's when Elton continued to put his songs onto the music charts. This disc contains at least six songs that made it onto the Top 40 during that decade along with songs from that are quite difficult to find, the sixteen listed below.About the songs:'Club At The End Of The Street' charted at #28 here in the USA during the summer of 1990.'Healing Hands' was on the charts during 1989 and made it to position #13.'I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That' is a song from mid 1988 and became an Elton John number two US Hit in August 1988.'I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues' was released in the late 1983 and reached the number 2 position on the Hot 100. It was the first song since 1975 to feature the classic lineup of the Elton John Band.'Kiss The Bride' is another great song written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin from 1983. It is actually a story song of someone watching his former lover getting married to someone else. It charted at #23 in the U.S.'Little Jeannie' is a song from 1980 which performed quite well, going all the way to #3 on the Hot 100. Elton has rarely performed this song live in concert.'Mama Can't Buy You Love' is from 1979 and made it to number 9 on the Pop Charts.'Blue Eyes' is from Elton's 1982 album 'Jump Up!. It charted in at #10 but still seems to be a difficult track to find on karaoke. The other tracks on this disc may not have made an impact on the pop charts or were never released as singles. Some of these are almost impossible to find on karaoke. Here are the sixteen songs: 1. Are You Ready For Love2. Blue Eyes3. Candy By The Pound4. Club At The End Of The Street5. Cold As Christmas6. Crystal7. The Fox8. Fascist Faces9. Healing Hands10. I Don't Wanna Go On You Like That11. I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues12. It Amazes Me13. Kiss The Bride14. Little Jeannie15.
