Description: Ultra Rare: Single Year issued "Designer" 1983 Tea Pot in Chocolate color. Pairs with Spice of Life , Golden Butterfly, Natures Bounty, and Wild flowers. Model number P-168. Corning Ware made these 8-cup designer teapots in 1983 as part of a promotion. This limited production tea pot was made in four colors; The blue, black, and red are more common, the brown is is very hard to aquire. This teapot is the limited "Chocolate" brown color. The lid and handle collar are a wonderful warm chocolate brown. The teapot body is brilliant white Pyroceram, and the contour handle and lid finial are black plastic. The wide mouth means easy filling and cleaning, and gives a sleek, modern look to the teapot. No chips, no cracks, no nicks. The lid spring-wire is missing. Some light scuffing on the bottom, on parts of the collar, and on the inside (see photos). Handle shows slight wear in the thumb groove. Clean and ready to use. It is marked under the handle "Corning Ware P-168 8 cup". All lettering is fully intact. The model is so rare that it is often jard to locate in collectors guides. Body is white with brown (chocolate) band and lid; 8 cup capacity. Please note that this is a used vintage item.
