Saw chains can quickly be repeatedly sharpened to the original nominal chain cutter radius to a sharp edge that produces shaved chips instead of the sawdust that a dull chain produces. With proper use these carbide burrs outlast most types of abrasive burrs and hold their nominal diameter after repeated use. Recommended operating speed is 25K to 30K RPM using light pressure. Use multiple light passes on badly abused chains to avoid overheating the chain or the cutter. These carbide cutters quickly pay for themselves by their long life.
