Description: For sale , AN OLD DATED 195- (original owner thought issued in early 1950s) & BELIEVE TOUGHER TOWN old DOG LICENSE / DOG TAX TAG / EXONUMIA which says "EXP. 6-20-5- DEMING DOG TAX #76 (low number)", which was located in region of DEMING, NEW MEXICO THIS IS A TOUGHER NM TOWN TO FIND EXONUMIA FROM......DEMING IN HISTORIC LUNA COUNTY NM...AND THIS WAS FOUND MANY YEARS AGO IN 1970S IN THE REGIONTHIS IS A NICE LOOKING OLD DOG LICENSE, AND VERY COLLECTIBLE....IT IS BELIEVED TO BE ABOUT 65 YEARS OLD, AND MOST PEOPLE BACK IN THE DAY JUST DID NOT HAVE THE FORESIGHT TO SAVE THESE, OFTEN DESTROYED OR RECYCLED IN WARTIME METAL SCRAP DRIVES, ETCCAME OUT OF A COLLECTION OF WESTERN DOG LICENSES, WATCH FOR FUTURE LISTINGS...THERE IS A FOLD IN THE BRASS, SO NOT SURE EXCEPT TO SAY 1950'S ERAThis is a neat old license.....I am not an expert on these...came out of a collection, original owner had a grouping of old dog licenses in the back of the notebook.....watch for future listingsDog license is brass metal, rectangular shaped, about 31mm x 23mm in size, and it displays nicely.
