Description: Ca. 1870s-1880 Photo Album Containing 10 Photos of Charles E. Jame of Jasper, New York. Small album with outer flap secured by a keeper. Contains 8 pages designed to hold up to 16 photos displayed back-to-back. Album contains 10 photos (7 tintypes mounted in CDV-sized mats, plus 3 small cabinet cards). All photos are of the same man, shown over time sporting a variety of different styles of facial hair. He is identified in pencil on the inside cover as "C C Jame / Jasper, N Y." The 1860 Federal Census lists Charles E. Jame, then age 8, living with his parents in Jasper, Steuben Co., N.Y. (see last image). Given that Charles was born around 1852, the photos must date ca. 1870s-1880s. Photo album shows wear consistent with age and use. Photos themselves are overall in fine condition. Please inspect all images carefully.
