Black Forest carved jewelry box Jewelry box on 4 feet, comes with original lock and key, lock is working, but key is missing. Box is topped with 2 birds sitting on a rocky outcrop, with leaves behind them. Box has 5 compartmens: 4 silk-lined ones, which swing open to reveal the the 5th, bottom one. The front and the sides are decorated with carved flowers and leaves Dates to ca 1900 Measures 8 ½ inches high ( 12 inches including the birds) and 10 inches wide and 6 inches deep (measured at the bottom from foot to foot) In good condition with only minor imperfections: one leaf or grass tip at the top chipped (see photo) -one of the compartments with a small missing ledge In my other auctions and in my store you can find some more boxes and Black Forest woodenware!
