Bruce worked for Frank Zappa from 1974-1980 and his animation featured in several releases: A Token of His Extreme (8/27/1974), The Dub Room Special (10/31/1982), Baby Snakes (1978), Video From Hell (1/15/1987), and Bruce+Zappa+London Symphony Orchestra tour-de-force The Amazing Mr. Bickford (still frustratingly only {legally} released on VHS on 5/15/1989). Bruce's first independent clay animation film Prometheus' Garden (1988, 28 min) was released on DVD in 2008 (1000 copies) and is now a collector's item. In 2004, a documentary of Bruce's life and work called Monster Road was released by director Brett Ingram, winning several awards at festivals.
