From its home domicile here in West Tennessee comes this little used, long collected, excellent quality Jack Knife. Manufacturer was Colonial Knife Co., of Warwick, RI. Ranger series was a contract brand, to selected hardware stores. We estimate this one was manufactured in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Construction is carbon steel blades, bolsters, backsprings, and pivot pins, with brass liners and handle rivets. Handle panels are black composite. Pattern is equal end Jack Knife. Main spear blade measures 3 7/8 inches; secondary pen blade is 2 1/8 inches. Stamping is simply , Ranger / USA on the main blade tang. Surface detractions are minimal, gray toning on the bolsters and occasional finish freckling on the exposed portions of the blade. We rate this knife as Excellent Condition, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Spring strength and blade alignment are excellent.
