The jar is unmarked, and the clear glass allows for easy viewing of the contents inside. Although there are some defects to note, which will be detailed in the description, this jar is still a wonderful piece to add to your collection. The glass jar has also been listed as an urn on some sites that we researched. The glass in the lid has been broken, and a chunk of the glass is missing. This can be turned to the back for display purposes, but is definitely a defect. You can clearly see bubbles in the glass from the glass-blowing process. There is definite patina to this piece, and we did not wish to wash away the patina, so it comes with a certain amount of other buildup that you can see in the photos (green, white etc.). Someone familiar with cleaning items like this could do a much better job of restoring this piece if you wish to have it restored. We are NOT experts in glassware, and are basing our description on the research we were able to complete.
