Description: Auction for a binder of unpublished pages for a book of US WWII-Korean-Vietnam War patches. These are hand colored ink/paint drawings inserted in plastic sleeves of various patches. There are typeset pages with hand-drawn circles for noting if you have the patches . They are not marked. The author is unknown. It is believed this patch book has it's origin in the 1970's. There are many variation of patches I haven't encountered before. Both color and subdued are noted. For whatever reason the author decided not to his their work. This is truly a one of a kind offering and is a piece of quality artword in it's one right.1. Binder. Binder contains 73 pages of hand-colored/drawings of pages of WWII-Korean-Vietnam War patches. These are inserted in plastic sleeves and mounted in the binder. Pages are removeable. There are 6 pages of typeset written observations that correspond to numbered color drawnings on opposite pages. Binder is approximately 11 1/2" x 9 1/2" in size. Topics include Army Divisions, Airborne patches, Marine Corps Divisions, and standard Army Air Force patches various tabs, rockers, parachute ovals and Beret Flashes. There are color and subdued patches. The author is unknown.Binder shows normal wear tear associated with long storage. Binder cover is unmarked and shows fading with age. Pages covered in plastic. Some fading through on pages where patches hand colored. Typed pages show normal fading with time. There is one empty sleeve. Slight musty smell from long storage.
