Description: Traditional Tibetan bell with dorje as a set The bell is quite unusual because it is particularly finely worked. She's older, I guess approx. 30 years old. she has abeautiful, extremely pure sound and when moving vigorously, it emits an enormous volume. The bell is decorated with tiny, very fine dorjes ( tibetan vajra). Everything has been worked out extraordinarily finely and cleanly. Avalokitesvara is depicted in the handle of the bell. Traditionally, the dorje is used to strike the bell. The dorje is also very finely crafted by hand. The combination of the dark bronze of the sound body and the brass "handle" and dorje looks particularly elegant together! The gantha and the dorje are very heavy and massive. Both come from a small Tibetan shop in Boudhanath, Nepal. The bell was cast from bell bronze, carefully turned and reworked by hand. Of course everything is massive! the so-called "Handle" can be removed from the sound body. IIn Tibet, the bell (ganta) embodies the feminine pole, while the dorje manifests the masculine energy. Both instruments are always used together in Buddhist rituals. The dorje is not used to strike the bell, but is held in the right hand while the bell is rung with the left. Translated, the Dorje means "thunderbolt" or "diamond scepter". Traditionally it is considered a "tantric energy device" that can absorb and release cosmic energy into the environment. In Feng Shui both are used for "room cleaning". In general, it spreads good energy!
