Description: I do believe that we have a museum piece here. Made for the Navy in 1933, this individual focus7x50 pair of binoculars is all original, you restore! All eyepieces of bakelite are there and excellent! Uncoated optics, lenses front and rear are excellent, no chips or deep scratches, original and untouched. The original lettering is very different from those B&L binoculars that followed after. The letters are engraved not pressed above the metal. The patent marking and serial number places this model (pre-WWll) as one of the first designs of the modern binoculars. Most of the manufacturing or first runs was for the U.S. Government. Survival of any similar models appears to be rare. If you have any info on these please let me know. There is no reserve, buyer pays shipping and insurance. If you are a collecter and wish to use my photographs please ask for permission. I will ship world wide, but in this case would prefer to keep this rare item in this country.I have noticed sellers advertising glasses from this1933 period, Don’t believe it, the real 1933 model has different engravings and a patent number as well as an engraved serial number. _gsrx_vers_1292 (GS 8.3.6 (1292))
