Axe head by Johnson

Description: Axe Head-Offered is a heavy vintage axe head marked on both sides Johnson. Head is 6 1/2" long with 6 1/2" wide double bevel edge bit with 3 x 1 1/4" poll. Poll has had some mushrooming removed. Looks to be hand forged. At bottom of eye on one side is a 1" long crack, see photo. Surface is rough with old rust pitting & use marks. Weighs 4 lbs. A heavy very old unusual design axe head. I would give this a tool condition rating of G+.Buy with confidence!
