Description: These beautiful pen shells were acquired in the 1980s. They are saltwater clams, classified as bivalve mollusks, and have a long triangular shape. Thin, you can see the light come through when held towards the sun. They still have small sea shells and barnacles attached. They are simply stunning and great for any collection, education or just a pretty display. These were kept all these years in a large apothecary vessel and are in good condition. They are approximately 6 inches long, and 3 ½ inches wide. Origin is unknown.
