It is the first hard part to bring power into the transmission and transmit that power to the wheels. With no dampening or power loss other than the torque converter, the shafts in your transmission have a lot to handle. Now add power, weight from a trailer, bigger tires (and is some cases all these things together) and you will be well beyond what that factory shaft was designed for. The theory behind billet shafts is not quite what you may have in mind. The key to success is not to make the shaft stronger necessarily, but give it the ability to absorb more torsional load. The way we do this, is by using billet shafts, they have the ability to rotate further with out breaking. This is going to give the transmission more give and allow it to transmit more torque and more load with out breaking. Please note that your order may come in multiple shipments/packages and your shipments/packages may arrive at different times. Returns All of our parts and accessories are returnable and refundable. You MUST contact us within 30 days of the shipment date in order for us to accept a return. The item in which you are returning MUST be unused, uninstalled, in the original condition, and in the original packaging. To begin the return process you MUST contact us to obtain an RA number and RA form (if applicable) prior to sending the item back. Returns will be jeopardized at the customer’s expense if they are sent back without a return authorization number. All returned items are subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%. Labor, installation, surcharges or any other applicable fees from the original purchase are non-refundable. If you are returning an item due to an error caused by Rudy’s Performance Parts or its business partners (i.e., damaged or defective items, incorrect part shipped, etc.), we will cover all freight charges on the replacement items. We will not be able to send out a replacement part without payment. You are welcome to pay for a replacement item and then receive a refund when the original item is received back, otherwise, we won’t be able to send a replacement until the original item is back.
