Description of item for sale: This special quality dual prie dieu with its tableau of the crucifixion originated in Belgium and it dates to the mid/late 1800's. The prie dieu is made from solid oak except the figure of Jesus is a fruitwood that makes it stand out. The classic Renaissance woodcarvings and the pair of side statues are very nicely done. This prie dieu is in very good antique condition with only minor nicks and scratches consistent with its age and no woodworm or dry rot. Note several missing fingers on the figures as well as a few age cracks in the panels. When it arrives here at our Oregon facility we will inspect, clean and wax as needed prior to shipping to you.
