Description: A beautiful collection of rare antique Venetian beads, once a necklace that somehow broke over time. The value is in the beads, and these are valuable beads for the serious collector who adores rare antique jewelry. My best estimation, from the feel of the glass, is that these beads date from 1900 to 1920. They are in excellent condition and appear to have never been worn. Filigrana is the lampwork technique used to create the white lace-like ribbons, and Gomitola is the lampwork technique for setting the ribbons close to each other so that they touch. If requested, I would be happy to re-string this into a necklace for you at no additional charge so that you can wear it out of the box, or present it as a special gift to that special someone. There are 25 lampwork beads (not counting the small black spacers also Venetian) here is a breakdown of sizing: 6 -14.5 x 8.8mm; 4 -16 x 11mm; 6 -17 x 12mm; 6 -21 x 13.6mm; 2 -23 x 15mm; 1 -28.4 x 19mm focal bead. Please see all the photos are they are part of the description.
