Description: This very rare and hard to find mourning sampler is in excellent condition compared to others of the same era. It has been professionally framed/stretched/mounted on acid free backing and matting. It's covered by glass to protect it. In the middle a the top are the initials "E.W." and the images on it depicts the family tomb adorned with flowers and ravens, as well as what appears to be the family cat. There are many other adornments including: what looks like an acorn tree, an apple tree, Deer, and flowers in urns and pots. It measures approx. 19-1/2" x 19-1/2" from frame edge to edge, with the visible sampler area being 15" x 15" wide and long.
