Description: Pair of vintage peroid art nouveau copper push plates. These are genuine peroid items as identified by the registration number on each plate, which dates these to 1905. They are tanrished and worn which is totally consistent with the age of these items, they are not new and in my opinion are just perfect and ready for a new installation giving you that instant history with their wonderfully aged patina. The 4 screw holes are clean and not split. The plates are constructed from a soft copper. As peroid items, the detail and quality surpasses any of the more modern reproduction. Although not a pair, these two would work fabulously together. One is a maiden in a flowing sinuous garment infront of a sunset with wonderfully detailed lilly pads and trees and the other is a farm scene with the woman's face beautifully captured with so much detail to her hair, position of her hat and rake. The sun is in the distant background with wonderfully stylistic leaves and flowers in the borders. The quality of both shine through, and each is stamped with a registered design dating them circa 1905.
