Description: Antique Gold-Plated Metal Rectangular Memorial Locket with Black Ribbon ~ FMCO Monogramed: Attractive oval cartouche monogrammed MCS in lovely script. The locket measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/4". The adjustable black ribbon is about 13.5" long. The entire length of the piece is 16.5". That allows for the fob. The front of the locket features a wavy pattern with a solid center that is interrupted with the oval cartouche. Beautiful, bright, shiny finish. The reverse side of the locket features a stripped pattern that is equally attractive. The interior is clean and shows one or two tiny spots where the base metal is visible. This is not a problem. The interior holds two photos. A man and a woman. This is a family piece, but no one in the family can identify the two people. The gentleman has a full mustache and is wearing wire rimmed glasses. He is wearing what appears to be a black hat, suspenders and is smoking a white pipe. The bowl of the pipe blends into his suspenders. If you look closely at the photos you can distiguish the bowl of the pipe. The woman is dressed very simply. She seems to be standing outside a house and wearing a blouse or dress. Her hair is white and appears to be in some sort of upsweep. The locket has a fob which is marked R.J.H. Co. A black ribbon is attached to the fob and has a moveable gold plated "buckle" .
