Description: This antique miniature portrait is of a French lady of nobility. She is dressed in pink with ruffled lace and flowers to the dress and holding a garland of roses. Her hair is done up in the style of the early 19th century. The piece is signed illegebly. The work is behind convex glass and well executed. The frame is wood with a backing of an old French document with the date 1821. There is a round eye for hanging. Condition is very good, some wear to the paper backing consistent with age and some dust behind the convex glass. No other defects.Measurements are: 4 3/4" by 4 7/8" and 3/4" deep. Site size is 2 1/4".
