Description: From the net: "During the Victorian era, perforated paper was used as a ground for embroidering all kinds of paraphernalia, from little tokens of friendship, to covers of needlebooks, to inspirational mottoes for the wall." This fabulous framed piece says "Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother" and is absolutely charming. The glass front wood frame in good, age-related condition. The back of the piece is wood and has a rope for hanging. The needlework is done in different shades of green and all the stitching is intact. There is some faint discoloration on the paper backing, which, of course, I think lends the work authenticity. The outside of the frame is approx. 10 1/2" x 12 1/2".
