Description: Early doll’s room box of a one-room schoolhouse. Of Germany or Dutch origin. I purchased from the Netherlands empty and have collected several antique items to put in it. The Roombox dates to the 1840’s. Its scale cannot be determined since scale was not a big factor but looks to be for a doll of about 6-8 inches tall. I put this little doll in that I purchased in Sturbridge and she has wonderful clothing and little shoes. I believe she was made by Kestner. No issues with her bisque head which is attached to a tiny leather body. The door is missing its hinges but sits in place just fine. In fact looks better turned around so you can see the adorable doorknob. The windows are all hand cut to creat arched panes. Painted interior and faux brick exterior. Antique easel with old chalkboard. Some vintage prints. Nice framed picture. Half circle table by Tinytoy. There is a small hinged box that has some old paper inside. A book, glove, old tin, and handheld chalkboard complete the scene. Please see photos and ask any questions as it is sold as-is. Box measures 20" by 10" by 10.5" deep.
