Description: Click photos for larger image! Description & Condition: Up for sale is this original 1950's Cairns and Brothers New York metal fire helmet. It is from Plaineville, Massachusetts and has a plate on the front with leather insignia Plainville Fire Dept. It is in good used condition but showing wear from use and measures 13" by 11". There are holes drilled on the sides possibly to hang it. see photos. The lining is rough and the Ciarns badge is missing.
