Description: Vintage Alfred Meakin England 'Halcyon' porcelain covered dish. - Beautiful ornate patterning with rich, dark blue bands rimmed by braiding designs. Orange tone flowers and leaves with bright green highlights. Extensive hand applied gilt. - Stamped on base with Alfred Meakin mark which was in use between 1907 to 1914. - Made in England - Good condition with no cracks or chips. There is some surface wear, predominately on gilt finish on top handle and side handles. There are also some small spots of discoloration of the white porcelain (see close ups). An overall lovely dish in great shape for its age. Measurements: 10 1/4" x 8 1/4" x 5"
