Description: Offered is this antique white china plate, made by Wedgwood in Etruria, Staffordshire, England. The plate is one of the "Ivanhoe" pieces, "exhorting silver from Isaac the Jew", shown in a multicolor scene, surrounded by a band of brown and white designs containing six heads of figures in bright yellow, all surrounded by a thin aqua band. Based on the addition of "England" but not "Made in" to the backside markings the piece was probably produced after 1891 but before 1910. There is also an impressed "Wedgwood" mark and another impressed mark that looks like "JGG", with the third letter of G indicating the plate may have been produced in 1904. In addition, there are other pressed and imprinted marks. The plate is approx. 10 1/4" in diameter. Most of it is in very good condition, but there is one small rim chip on the underside, not really visible from the top (see last photo). Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks or scratches on the top. There are some light marks on the underside as well as some surface wear and discoloration, as shown.
