Description: (Please read carefully) Fully restored and works great!! Cleaned every inch of this device inside and out. This PC is pretty fast for general web surfing or moderately heavy tasks.2011 gaming laptop updated to 2024 modern times! There are ton of ports/ Usb ports too. Health diagnostics tests show that this PC is in good health! The only hardware issue that comes up is for the battery, which is at 64% health (see pic). It still works as it should for now and the battery will probably last a while longer. Aside from that, all other hardware works perfectly. Note: in the background of the video, the Air conditioning was running and the "creaking" sounds are from my camera. Those sounds are NOT from the computer Fyi. Work done: - Infamous sticky rubber coating removed completely - did this with just isopropyl alcohol wipes, a plastic spatula, and a lot of elbow grease. Now it's just the plastic surface and is very smooth (see pics). Note: The exterior top lid of the still has the rubber material.. in that area it is OK and not sticky or degrading. - NEW 1TB SSD - Crucial MX500 1 TB. - NEW 16gb RAM - Crucial DDR3L (2x) 8Gb ram sticks. - Fresh install of the latest windows 10 Pro and product ID. Installation disc included! - LIKE NEW - Authentic oem charger for this exact device. Excellent condition. - GC EXTREME Thermal paste - reapplied on both CPU and GPU. - K5 Pro Thermal pads - replaced old thermal pads. - Fan cleaned out meticulously with isopropyl alcohol. (see pic ) Free from dust and works great The bad: - Sometimes takes a long time to boot up (several minutes). - I can't get the camera to work. It worked on Windows 8.1 so it's probably a software /driver issue. - The left click occasionally sticks (slightly for about half a second). - Battery is at 64% health. It is the only issue that comes up with the diagnostics check. Fortunately the battery still works fine when charger is in. - Infrequent small glitches (maybe <5% of the time) - example: temporarily freezes for a couple of seconds, then it unfreezes. - No bluetooth - Bluetooth card was optional on this device. You can get one affordably online and installation is easy. Final wrap up - Missing drivers are easily found with apps like "Driver Easy". If you wanted to restore the computer to Windows 7 to play Old PC games, it looks like you can revert back to Win 7 in the settings.
