On the German side, the campaign revolves around supplying the Stalingrad pocket - a game within the game. Each Turn, the German player aims to supply the pocket, with the success of JU-52s determining the encircled units' supply level. The tactical superiority and German ascendancy are considered but challenged by Soviet resistance during the period of the war.
