Description: This small 4" x 2.5" hourglass shaped pestle would have been used in grinding grains. I came fromthe Kwazulu Natal region of South Africa. It is made from a very hard wood that has an unusual grain and has a smooth patina from years of use. It is fairly rare to find one of these old pestles in this condition. 100% of the proceeds of this sale will be donated to Samaritan's Purse.
