Description: This stunning award display for Aerosmith's "Nine Lives" album was presented to A&R executive John Kalodner to commemorate multi-platinum world-wide sales of over 5,000,000 copies. It reads: "with many thanks for the part you played". Nine Lives is the twelfth studio album by American rock band Aerosmith. It was released in March 1997 and peaked at number one on the Billboard 200. John Kalodner is a noted music writer and photographer. He was the first A&R executive for Geffen Records in 1980 where he worked with Asia, White Zombie, Madness, XTC, Whitesnake, Wang Chung, and Aerosmith. Later in 1996, he was recruited by Columbia Records to oversee production of "Nine Lives". Kalodner retired from the music business in 2006. He subsequently sold most of his industry awards and RIAA plaques and donated the proceeds to cancer research. Award is in excellent condition (front and reverse) except for one CD that has detached from its glue and shifted to the upper left of the display. Please see my photos. Display measures approximately 22" x 22". Payment is expected within 3 days of close of auction. Item will be carefully packaged and mailed USPS Ground Advantage shipping. U.S. domestic shipping only.
