Description: This is a wonderful vintage book from 1939 - A Treasury of American Prints: A Selection of One Hundred Etchings and Lithographs by the Foremost Living American Artists Edited by Thomas Craven. Unfortunately, 24 of the etchings are missing (list of which numbered plates are missing will be provided further down in this listing). That said, there are still 76 absolutely beautifully reproduced etchings and lithographs - each with information about the print and the artist on the verso. Each reproduction litho also reproduces any artist signature as signed beneath each litho's image. Book is ring bound with black cloth over green boards and measures approx 10.25" wide x 13" high. Label on front cover. Overall FAIR condition with surface markings, stains, etc. Besides the missing etching pages, some of the pages have separated from the ring binding, others may have some surface markings in spots and others may have some edge wear/creases. The majority are in overall excellent condition. Normally I would never suggest this but as this book already has missing and loose pages, this book may be a candidate to have ALL the prints separated to be sold or displayed individually. Or just keep everything intact as it is. Again, the majority of the pages are in excellent condition and the majority are still affixed to the ring biding. Up to you. Price well below others asking.
