The coin is graded AU Details Polished by the South African Numismatics Grading Service (SANGS). The certification number is 004380/005. The coins were minted in Berlin on behalf of the Zuid Afrikaansche Republiek (ZAR). They are not to be confused with the similar Single Shaft coins which had a mintage of 14 000.
