Description: Penn Antique Restoration 32"x79" Vintage Solid Wood Exterior Door w/3 Glass Lites & 3 Raised Panels * The last 4 photos show a similar door that we repaired and a customer refinished to give you an idea how an old, used door like this could clean up. Although we don't refinish anymore, we could modify and repair it--see more details below. Unusual, vintage, entry door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid pine, and is stained on both sides. It has 3 raised panels on both sides, and 3 windows with glass. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine Hardware: The former owner was extremely concerned with security and not only installed 4 locks on the door, but also set-up an alarm system to go off if the door's glass was tampered with. Notice the wires going around the glass and the strips of dry adhesive from when the wires were taped to the glass. We've never seen anything like this and since we sell to theaters, movie studios, restaurants, etc. we decided to leave it on in case someone wants to use it for decoration or as a prop. Although it's included, if you don't want it, we'll remove the hardware and wires for no extra cost. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marksAll of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only subtle scratches.Swing: The door is set up to swing into a house towards your right, or away from the house towards your left.
