30x80"x1.75" Antique Vintage Old Wood Wooden Exterior French Door Window Glass

Description: Penn Antique Restoration 30"x80"x1.75" Antique French Door w/8 Windows Beautiful, antique, French door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, OH. The door has a solid Douglas Fir core covered in a 1/8" thick Birch veneer. The door is stained on both sides. Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. The door has an impressive arrangement of 8, true-divided windows with old glass. 1 of the windows is missing glass and molding. We could add the missing glass and molding--message us for a quote. Hardware: The door does not come equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Condition: The door is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It has the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. The door has a small break in the veneer (see 4th photo). However, there are no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp. The small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding. Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left and away from a room towards the right. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote. Modification: Do you want to replace the glass with wooden panels, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
