Featuring the deep blue transferware design typically known as Blue Willow, plates are simply marked JAPAN on the back and date to the 1930s. Condition is wonderful with no cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage other than typical glaze and clay imperfections - there is tanning around the ring foot on the back from age - finish is shiny and bright. Wonderful decoration of blue birds, buildings, stylized trees, geometric borders and even people crossing a small bridge. Lovely addition to any table or Blue Willow collection!
