Description: This elegant porcelain cup, saucer and plate with a magnificent original design will complement any meal - whether it is an ordinary tea party with friends or a holiday feast. The set is decorated manually, using the overglaze technique. This is famous Russian Lomonosov Gold Cobalt Net pattern, also known as the Catherine the Great pattern. These beautiful pieces are decorated with the Gold Cobalt Net design that originated in Russian two centuries ago when it was first made for the Czar's Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. It is unique for its deep blue color accented with gold where each Blue Net line intersects. The decoration of Cobalt Net, inspired by the service from Elizabeth's period, fitted harmoniously into the delicate tulip shape and produced a wonderfully noble, classically beautiful whole. This service was to become the Lomonosov factory's most recognised pattern, its visiting card. Tulip shape, designed by S.Yakovleva. The pattern was designed by A. Yatskevich. It has the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory LFZ logo on the bottom. Hand painted with 22K gold cup and saucer was made in the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg, Russia (former Soviet Union). The cup is 11 x 9.4 cm and 6.8 cm tall (4 1/4" x 3 7/8" and 2 1/2" tall) (250 ml)The saucer is 15 cm (6") in diameter. The plate is 18 cm (7") in diameter. It has a Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (LFZ) logo on the bottoms. Brand new, excellent condition. The Imperial Porcelain Factory (now known as the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory) was founded by Empress Elizabeth in 1744 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Lomonosov Porcelain Factory was the first porcelain manufacturer in Russia to develop and commercially implement the alabaster porcelain technology. This fine delicate porcelain is a more brilliant white than the usual kind, and thin almost to the point of being translucent. From its first porcelain bear, hand-made by the inventor of Russian porcelain, Dmitry Vinogradov, Lomonosov has continued the tradition of creating life through porcelain. This quality, demanded by the Imperial Romanov Family, can still be found two and a half centuries later, when more than 300 different types of figurines are made at the factory for people throughout the world to enjoy. And every one of them is handยญmade and hand-painted. It is this special attention to detail of Lomonosov artists which infuses each figurine with life, soul, individuality. Standards of excellence set by Lomonosov sculptors, such as B.Vorobyev, I.Riznich, P.Veselov received high international acclaim at World Exhibitions in Brussels, New York, London etc. ๐Ÿ”” Pictures are part of the description and reflect the current state of the article.
