MID-CENTURY OBLONG Item Description You are buying two (2) authentic, vintage Noritake '620' snack plate and cup sets dating, approximately, from 1953 to 1964. These classic, snowy white porcelain, snack plate and cup sets are designed with epoch, mid-century modern styling and decorated with the all-over pink glazing highlighted with glistening, 22K gold of Noritake's number '620' dinnerware pattern. The bottoms are labeled with Noritake China Japan, "N-in-wreath" trademarks. The lack of a "®" registry mark above Japan dates these sets from 1953 to 1964. Each flat cup, with gold trimmed rim and gold-encrusted handle, measures approximately 1-7/8 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. Each oblong plate, with molded cup rest, measures approximately 9-1/2 inches long and 6-7/8 inches wide. These decades-old snack plate and cup sets are in EXCELLENT condition. The colors are rich, and the details are distinct. The finish is lustrous, and the gold is glossy. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, breaks or repairs. Please note: there is some wear to the gold -- mainly on the underside of the cup handles from contact when the cups were stacked. See the photos for further clarification.
