It was a fitting tribute for the two-man Project Gemini. The stamp on the left shows astronaut Ed White performing the first US spacewalk in 1965; the stamp on the right shows the Gemini 4 capsule and the earth. A bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847. Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released. Each stamp is given its own identification number called a Scott Number. These stamps have been designated as Scott Numbers 1331 and 1332.
