You can toast to love lasting a hundred years with these lovely wine glasses! These two pretty wine glasses have a comfortable to hold smooth stem, and a rolled-rim trumpet-shaped bowl with a subtle optic fluting giving a nice shimmer, and a delicate, soap-bubble like iridescence. And - they are manganese glass, which helps date them. The element manganese, which glows green under 365nm black light, was used to create a brilliant clarity in turn of the century crystal. It was diverted for war use during WWI, and is generally not used in glass produced after 1918, though some was made containing scrap glass later on. This means these pretty glasses are likely about a century old! Manganese glass is considered completely safe to use. If you are a uranium glass collector, don't sleep on the manganese - it's beautiful in the (365nm) black light display cabinet, too! Blown glass, and are likely made by Fostoria; they are similar to other ones by this maker. Excellent antique/vintage condition, no chips or cracks. Light wear and surface scratches commensurate with age; still perfectly beautiful. Clean, hand washed and ready to use or display. Shipped quickly and packed with great care.
