Description: 1st edition 1st printing Shifting Landscapes by Henry Roth!! Call It Sleep! Nice. Here is an absolutely gorgeous copy of Shifting Landscapes by Henry Roth, the author of Call It Sleep considered by some to be the great American novel written in 1934. This is a first edition first printing published by the Jewish Publication Society in 1987. This copy is superb. The binding is square and tight and immaculate throughout. The light blue boards are spotless but for one small spot on the upper rear board but minimal indeed. The darker blue cloth spine and gold gilt lettering is bright and beautiful as shown. There is truly very light soiling to the upper page block. The dust jacket is completely and in excellent collectible condition itself. There was never any price printed on the jackets of the first or as far as I know any edition of this title published by the Jewish Publication Society. It’s sort of a University Press. The front panel illustration is by Georgia O’Keeffe. The last two photos show light wear at one corner and a small closed tear to the upper front panel. This copy is truly beautiful. The jacket comes in a Mylar protector which can easily be removed should you wish to. This copy will make a wonderful addition to any collection or library. Please see all pics and ask any questions you may have and as always I never list ex library or book club editions so buy with confidence. And please check out my 100% positive seller feedback!!! Thanks for looking.
